Leadership Development Event (LDE) practice sessions are held to prepare chapter members for competition in various leadership-based contests. During practice, students work on developing and refining skills in areas such as the FFA Opening and Closing Ceremonies, FFA Creed speaking, and public speaking.

Members rehearse official ceremonies using proper memorization, posture, tone, and delivery to ensure accuracy and professionalism. Creed speakers practice reciting and interpreting the FFA Creed while focusing on confidence, clarity, and meaning. Public speaking participants develop and deliver speeches, practicing organization, eye contact, voice control, and persuasive communication techniques.

Practice sessions include peer feedback, advisor coaching, and repetition to improve performance quality and build confidence. Students are encouraged to demonstrate professionalism, active listening, and constructive criticism while supporting fellow team members.

These practice sessions help students strengthen communication skills, leadership abilities, and self-confidence while preparing them for success in LDE competitions and future leadership roles.
