Location - IAHS Campus
The Ag Career Expo is a career exploration event hosted by the chapter that brings together local and regional agriculture-related businesses, industry professionals, and postsecondary representatives to showcase career opportunities within the agricultural industry. The event features interactive booths, hands-on demonstrations, and equipment displays, including large machinery demonstrations that allow students to observe real-world applications of agricultural careers.
Students rotate through the expo visiting exhibitors, engaging in conversations with professionals, and learning about career pathways in areas such as animal science, agribusiness, production agriculture, agricultural mechanics, and natural resources. Many booths provide hands-on learning experiences that allow students to better understand the skills and training required for various agricultural careers.
Members are encouraged to ask questions, gather informational materials, and network with industry representatives to explore future internships, employment opportunities, and postsecondary programs. Chapter members also demonstrate professionalism and respectful communication while interacting with exhibitors and guests.
The Ag Career Expo supports career readiness by helping students connect classroom instruction to real-world agricultural careers and gain a clearer understanding of opportunities within the agriculture industry.
